Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the C4T Wallet mobile application and this website handle information. C4T Wallet is a non-custodial wallet: it does not hold your funds, and it is built to minimise the information it processes.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Overview

C4T Wallet (“the Wallet”, “we”, “us”) provides a non-custodial multichain wallet application and this informational website. We do not create accounts for users, we do not take custody of assets, and we do not require registration to use core wallet functionality.

By using the Wallet or this website, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information stored on your device

The following information is generated and stored locally on your device, protected by the operating system's secure storage where available:

  • Your recovery phrase and private keys
  • Wallet addresses and account labels
  • Application preferences (networks, display settings)
  • Passcode and biometric unlock settings
  • Locally cached balances, tokens and transaction history

We do not transmit, collect or store your recovery phrase or private keys. If you lose them, we cannot recover them for you.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, postal address, government identifiers, or payment card details through the Wallet. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use personal data for advertising profiling.

4. Technical and diagnostic information

To operate and maintain the application and website, limited technical information may be processed, such as device type, operating system version, application version, anonymous usage or crash diagnostics, and network request metadata (including IP address) when the app or website contacts a server.

This information is used solely to provide, secure, debug and improve the service, and is not used to identify you personally.

5. Blockchain data

Transactions you broadcast are recorded on public blockchain networks. Blockchain data is public, permanent and outside our control. Wallet addresses, amounts and timestamps may be visible to anyone and may be analysed by third parties. We cannot modify, delete or anonymise data recorded on a public blockchain.

6. Third-party services

Certain features rely on third-party providers, which may include node and RPC providers, price and market data providers, swap, bridge and on-ramp providers, and third-party trading destinations.

When you use such a feature, the relevant provider may receive information necessary to deliver it, such as your wallet address, the requested operation, or IP-level connection metadata. These providers act under their own privacy policies and terms, and their practices are outside our control. We encourage you to review them before use.

7. Permissions

The application may request device permissions strictly to deliver specific features: camera access for QR code scanning, biometric access for unlocking the wallet, and notification access where supported. Permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings, which may disable the corresponding feature.

8. Data retention

Wallet data remains on your device until you delete the application or remove the wallet from it. Deleting the application without a valid backup of your recovery phrase results in permanent loss of access. Any limited technical logs are retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the application and website. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the security of your wallet depends significantly on your own practices: protecting your device, protecting your recovery phrase, and verifying every transaction before confirming it.

10. Children

The Wallet is not intended for individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly process their data.

11. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection regarding personal data processed about you. Because the Wallet is non-custodial and collects minimal information, we may be unable to identify you from the limited data we process. Requests can be sent to the contact address below.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the application, third-party integrations or legal requirements. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.
